Sneaker Washing Bag

Muddy runners, again? 👟

A wet walk home from school. A Saturday on a soggy GAA pitch. A puddle nobody saw coming.

By Sunday evening the runners look like they've done a full season in the bog, and of course they're needed first thing Monday.

Why the usual fixes fall short

• Scrubbing by hand: an old toothbrush, a basin of grey water and half an hour you won't get back.
• Straight into the machine: loose shoes thudding around the drum while you wince at every bang.
• Leaving them be: until they look so tired they get binned long before they're worn out.

Let the washing machine do the scrubbing

The Sneaker Washing Bag holds each shoe snugly during a normal wash, so your trainers come out clean without the hand scrubbing and without rattling around the drum.

Why a shoe bag, not a laundry bag

An ordinary mesh bag just keeps things together. This one is made for shoes:

1. Soft inner lining: it brushes against the shoe as the drum turns, working into seams and around the sole.
2. Cushioned sides: they soften the knocks, for a calmer, quieter wash.
3. Zip closure: shoe and laces stay put from start to spin.

☀️ After the wash

Runners lined up by the back door, clean and drying. School bag packed, kit sorted, and nobody hunting for the toothbrush.

Fresh trainers for the week ahead, without giving up your Sunday evening.

How to use

1. Knock off loose mud and take out the insoles if you like.
2. Put the shoe in the bag and zip it fully closed.
3. Wash on a gentle cycle with your usual detergent.
4. Take the shoes out straight away and let them air-dry. Skip the tumble dryer.

Suede, nubuck or patent leather? Those are best cleaned by hand.
